The importance of love in finding a life purpose

If someone were to ask you what your life purpose is, what would you say? Most people would reply "huh"? What a deep question that is. Actually, it can be quite terrifying. Because you may not ask yourself that question until you are later in life with a family, career, and hundreds of responsibilities. You can't just drop it all to say "see you later, this isn't my life purpose, so I must go pursue it". Or, can you?

People do it every single day. They wake up and decide to have an affair behind their spouses back. Others just get up and leave everything. Why, because they are unhappy, they feel no life purpose. Some may look at it as being selfish, self centered and horrible to do that to their family. But is it really. If you are unhappy and by making yourself happy you are hurting the feeling of someone else is that terrible? Is it a bad thing to quit a job everyone thinks your amazing at, making a large income because you're unhappy and go back to school or work your dream job even if it isn't bringing in that income, work once was? Or to leave your faithful loving spouse because you met someone that makes you feel alive and amazing?

Peoples feelings get hurt everyday, why else would therapists get paid as well as they do? If by hurting someone else's feelings, not life, not body, just feelings to make yourself happy, fulfilled and purposeful you should go for it!

I do not advocate cheating or being lazy and just not working. I feel a marriage is a very sacred union and should be treated with respect. But there is a limit to everything. We only get one chance at life. We are here for a short time why not live it to its fullest and most extreme. Not by doing drugs, breaking laws or hurting others. But by spending the extra money on a posh hotel room in the city for a night. Giving up the corner office with the window and secretary to join the peace corp. Whatever your dream is do it! Stop whatever you're doing and plan it out, figure out how to make it happen. It is the scariest thing in life, but once you've gotten there to that feeling of happiness, fulfillment and love no matter what you had to do to get there it will be worth it.

So for lack of a better ending, to quote a popular shoe manufacture, "Just Do It"!
