in your subconscious that you were supposed to do somethingand then it comes. I made a decision at the age of nine standing in a NYC street looking at homeless people that when I grew up I would do something to help the world be a better place.
There are some that tell me that I need to accept this life on its terms. But who created those terms? Who decided that I have to live a life within the confined framework of others perceptions. My only answer is I choose. I either settle for what is or do something to change it.
I don't believe for one second that any of us grew up believing that we would be doing a quarter of the things our daily lives consist of. I know I didn't dream of working in a bagel store or working as an Administrative Assistant or anything like that. Please don't think I'm bashing those positions, I'm not. The only thing I'm trying to point out is
"When did you stop believing?"
How many people are really happy with what they do? Find satisfaction in what they do? Some may, but they are in the minority. For many including myself and I know I'm not alone in this; settle for the life they have, because it's imprinted very early that nothing more is possible.
I started my website because initially I wanted to do something with my artwork, but then the whole "Links of Love" and "Seeds of Love" thing came about. I discovered a way that I could begin to do my part, to do SOMETHING.
Now let me explain the effect of this. My six years old niece Madyson looked at what I did, saw what I had created from nothing and made her own decision.
She wanted me to teach her how to build a website so she could put HER artwork on the Internet. So if any of you doubt what I'm doing or find it bothersome, stop and realize the effect created from me believing I could change the world...initially I sparked inspiration in a six years old...but ultimately I discovered she had inspired me.
The one thing I know for certain is that life is the ebb and flow of energy from one to another. Plant inspiration, hope, love whatever and eventually it blooms ten fold back into yourlife.
How many of us really had the chance to do or be something without any one telling us we couldn't?
Without anyone telling us we were dreamers?
Without anyone telling us we could?
So my mission is to continue to do my part. To not stand on the sidelines of life and continue to allow the "Unwritten Rules" to confine me for one more second.
That is why I send the messages out to people; it's WHY I do
