children, our very own sweet little witches, ghost, goblins and vampires, our cute little pumpkins, fairies and elves, those precious little super heroes we send out onto the streets to beg at the neighbors door...it even manages to get slipped in at supervised school, church and community parties. We see more muggings, beatings, rapes, bizarre murders, fires, strange accidents, drownings, kidnappings, all happening on this day October 31st and the days just prior and after and it is passed off as "innocent fun" that just went to far. Do you really, as a Christian, believe that? Satan doesn't believe it at all but he wants you to. There is nothing fun or funny or pretend or make believe about being raped, mugged, beaten, burned or tortured. DON'T GET INVOLVED IN IT.
Why do we even want to dress up in those horrid, hideous costumes anywayjust because everyone else is? Why do we want to go around begging for a bunch of candy and junk food that even without the additives will make us sick and most will get thrown in the trash or vomited anyhow...what purpose is there in it? Why not just throw a twenty dollar bill in the fire. Makes about as much sense. Are the things you do on Halloween in any way honoring the God of your salvation? When you start thinking about dressing up for Halloween and going trick or treating or participating in the neighborhood festivities to celebrate this night ... think a minute and ask yourself not WHO AM I this Halloween but WHOSE AM I. Do you belong to Satan or to God?
I hope and pray you are one of God's kids. There are a whole lot better ways to have a good time than toying with the devil. Halloween is Satan's favorite holiday. Do you still want to go to his party?
