Poetry: Loneliness

Yet Here You Stand Before Me

You said I was your child,

You'll love me no matter what.

But what if I told you of my life,

And all the doors I've shut.

I murder, steal, and lie

To get my every way,

How can you say you love me

Even still today.

The drugs I took for pleasure,

It took me far above,

How can you stand before me,

Yet you still speak to me of love.

I hate my mom and dad,

For they beat me every day

Yet here you are with open arms

With out a thing to say.

I cursed your name aloud

When the world was crashing in

Now you look upon my soul

To take away my sin

Wait! You don't understand it all

I'm not finish yet ..You see,

If you knew my life and what I've done

You'll turn your back on me.

For I walk alone in this world

With nothing but my shame

I've ran around and hurt people,

Not caring of their name.

So how can you stand with open arms

And tell me that you care?

Even after all I've said

And my life with you I shared.

Please walk away..Don't turn around,

For my face I bury deep,

What is this you say to me..

For I'm one of your lost sheep.

And here you stand before me

With love so deep with in,

Just to say I'm one of yours

And you'll love me to the end.
