Confessional
Go on angel, recite your laundry list of sins
Waiting to demolish distance
Between your soul and heaven
Reach hands towards the sky
Catch the drifting dreams
Companions to the clouds
Bow your head for the departed
Remember the ones who paved your path
With sweat and tears
Tears that fell from above
Forming the pond across the street
Where you spend your summer
Uninhibited you float on the surface
First traversed by your savior
Thinking the thoughts that most would think thoughtless
Remember the days of idol daydreams
The days most worth remembering
