Whether you're in grad school or middle school, writing a paper is almost always a drag. Notecards, outlines, rough drafts, footnotes It's enough to make anyone's head spin. I have found a couple of things that may help. And while they won't write the paper for you, they WILL ease things quite a bit.

1) Doc Scribe's Guides to Research Style - http://www.docstyles.com/

Almos t every paper you will be called upon to write will have to be in some sort of official format'. (Formats are writing styles used by professional organizations or groups in a certain field.) This site gives overviews to six of the most popular styles and also offers free crib sheets' (brief guides to each style) in pdf format so that you may print them out and keep them handy while writing.

The styles covered are:
AMA American Medical Association
APA - American Psychological Association
ASA American Sociological Association
CBE Council of Science Editors (formerly the Council of Biology Editors)
Chicago Style (sometimes known as Turabian style, after Kate L. Turabian, the graduate school dissertation secretary at the University of Chicago from 1930 to 1958.)
MLA Modern Language Association

There are also helpful links to other books and sites that will help you with whatever type of paper you need to write.

2) Landmarks Son of Citation Machine - http://citationmachine.net/
One of the most tedious parts of writing a paper is doing the citations within it and the reference page at the end. This site makes those tasks a snap. Just like it says on their site:

"1. Click the citation format you need and then the type of resource you wish to cite,
2. Complete the Web form that appears with information from your source, and
3. Click Make Citations to generate standard bibliographic and in-text citations."

These resources can include encyclopedias, journal and newspapers articles, as well as web and computer items. MLA, APA, and Chicago styles are included here (other styles are in the works). This site can also be translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French or German, should you need to use those languages.

Papers of all shapes, sizes and subjects will forever be assigned, but the above two tools will make that chore decidedly less stressful.
