From the Fabulous Freebirds to The Funks, tag-team wrestling has been one of the most popular aspects of professional wrestling for countless years, long before the giant media behemoth known as the WWE took over and sealed their legacy as the biggest wrestling organization of all time.

Tag team wrestling peaked in the days of the NWA and the AWA thanks to the likes of Michael "P.S" Hayes, Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson "Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and countless others. As time went on, so did tag-teams. They began to peak fame in the WWE and WCW with the likes of The Steiner Brothers and The Road Warriors making their presence felt, and later on in the 1990's, the likes of D-Generation X and The Outsiders began to dominate. Tag Team wrestling continues to evolve to this day, as does its legacy and its history, however, tag team wrestling will always have its all time greats, and here are a few of the greatest:

Number One: The Road Warriors - Arguably the greatest and most well known tag-team in the history of professional wrestling, having wrestled all over the world making a name for themselves in every major promotion in the world. Best friends since childhood, making the chemistry they share in the ring a hundred percent natural. Chemistry is what makes a tag-team successful, knowing each others styles and knowing each others moves, trusting each other completely.

This was the way of the warriors. Whenever you mention tag team wrestling, whenever you mention tag-team gold, you automatically think, The Road Warriors, the Legion Of Doom, Hawk And Animal. There is no questioning that even though their illustrious career was cut short due to the untimely death of Road Warrior Hawk, the legacy of the Road Warriors has lived on, and will continue to live on forever, and they will without a doubt go down as one of, if not the greatest and most decorated Tag Teams in the history of the sport itself.

Number 2: The Steiner Brothers - Nowadays, when you hear the name 'Steiner' you think 'Big Poppa Pump' 'The Genetic Freak' The Big Bad Booty Daddy.' You think simply of Scott Steiner. However, before Scott Steiner was a successful singles competitor, he was even more successful as a tag-team with his real life older brother, Rick Steiner. The Steiners graduated as all-Americans from Michigan, as talented amateur wrestlers aspiring to use their talents to get to the top of professional wrestling - as a tag-team!
