If you are able to craft words together on a sheet of paper, encourage people to do something to purchase the product, you can create fantastic advertising campaigns. You must keep the following tips in mind in writing great copy:
1. Expend the effort to research for the big idea. Take time to do this before you write the first word. You want to know what the "hook" is. Gather raw data together. What is the product? What are the comparable products?, Who are the competitors? Who is the customer? What are the demographics of this customer? Read what they read, go where they go and understand their purchasing behavior. "Get inside your customers head." All of these tips will give you a good idea of the big idea,
2. Establish your authority. You should be able to identify why I should listen to you, and why should I listen to you about this? You must be able to establish your expertise on the subject. You want the buyer to feel confident in buying from you. If you are creating an advertising campaign for computers, and you know nothing about them, you can't expect the consumer to trust you on this subject. Every good advertising campaign begins by establishing credibility.
3. Tell the prospect what something is not. This is a reliable technique used in moneymaking opportunities and weight loss. Examples of this are, " it's not multi-level or network marketing", It's not a difficult business, or No special education required.
4. Let people off of the hook. Tell people it's not your fault. If you are providing a solution to a problem, let them off of the hook by letting them know that it's not their problem, there is a shortage of solutions. Let them know you have the solution for their problem.
5. Understand the power of secrets. We want to believe in secrets, we have been trained this way, since we were small children. The secret about the Kennedy assassination, the secrets the diet industry doesn't want you to know, the secret to gaining wealth on the Internet. We love secrets, and the desire to be let in on secrets is one of the most powerful of all copyrighting solutions.
These are just a few of the tips to writing great advertising copy, and developing a effective advertising campaign, there are others. One key element to remember is that you are writing to tell people to do something, to act, to purchase your product. Giving items for free, putting them on sale, and adding value to the product are all ways advertisers entice customers into making a purchase.
