Removing your child permanently from the public school system is one of the best choices a parent can make when you consider the dangers that they face there every day. More often than not, there is a situation on a daily basis that threatens your child's safety and well being. It may be a physical situation or a mental situation, but either way, the results are the same. Our school systems are not equipped to deal with the issues that a student faces today. They do try, they bring in counselors, they try to educate, but a week after the incident happened, it is over and school moves on.

Let us look at the recent situation in Boulder, CO. Educators there have shown no remorse for their choice to send the entire school to a mandatory meeting in which children were told it was okay to do drugs, it was okay to experiment with sexual experiences such as same sex, it was okay to not use the appropriate protections when engaging in sexual relations. These so called educators are raising our children! And yet, they now refuse to talk, refuse to admit to any wrong doing, and have invited Larry, Moe and Curly to return next year to have the same discussion.

Schools are blatantly flaunting the fact that they have a hand in raising our children and teaching them the morals that will follow them throughout there life. When did it become okay to quit teaching reading, writing and math, and begin teaching kids that drugs, sex and rock n' roll are the way to go?

An example should be made of them. Parents need to stand up and say we will not accept this as reasonable behavior any longer. The principal, the speakers and anyone else who did not remove those children from the meeting they were forced to attend should be sent to prison and made to pay a hard price for thinking that their views were appropriate for our children.

I have digressed, but there are many more examples that have happened in recent years that should have every parent scrambling to find a way out of the public school system. Home Schooling is no longer the fearful, painstaking, time consuming thing of the past. With the invention of Cyber Charter Schools, recorded classes that can be listened to by a parent at any time of the day or night, up to the minute grading and missing assignment lists, we have been given back the control of our children's fate in life.

A teacher who knows he or she is being recorded, and a parent will be listening in later has a much higher standard to live up too. There are no conversations
