Web site reviews: MySpace.com

by Dido

The World Wide Web is a realm possibly as vast as our own universe. It is an invaluable resource that contains information on almost every subject imaginable. However, it can also be a source of entertainment. Of all of all the websites accessible on the Internet, there is one that, in my opinion, definitely ranks among the best.
MySpace (www.myspace.com) is a popular website built on the idea of universal networking, where people get the opportunity to form connections with others whom, in normal circumstances, they might never talk to. Everyone creates a profile, or a "MySpace", through which they are free to express their personality and views. Through this website, members are able to browse through thousands of other members' profiles, choosing to form connections as they wish.

Even though there are many other networking websites to choose from on the web, MySpace ranks as the best for many reasons. First and foremost, it is one of the best mediums of self-expression available anywhere. Through creating personalized profile layouts, members are free to be creative and are able to post videos and pictures that display their interests. As well, all members can create blogs, which is like an online journal. Writing has been acknowledged as being one of the best forms of self-expression, and as a safe and healthy means of letting out negative thoughts and feelings; and it keeps people from resorting to negative means such as drugs and violence.
MySpace is also the best website because it is an excellent instrument for communication. Through MySpace, people are able to form relationships with others on the basis of similar personalities and views. And forming relationships is essential to the development of a mentally and emotionally healthy individual.
As well, MySpace is remarkable in the sense that it exposes people to other walks of life. A "MySpacer" could potentially form connections with someone on the other side of the globe. This allows everyone to be more socially and globally conscious as they are exposed to different cultures and perspectives.
