Laughter is good medicine: How it fights diseases

Laughter is a wonderful medicine...
I never use to truly believe in that statement until something happened in my life and I was able to witness it. My father has prostate cancer and there is no cure. He has only had it two years but in those two years he was told live your life to the fullest for it is almost over.
Well about a year into him having cancer a friend of his went in for a check and was told he to has cancer. Not the same kind mind you, but still cancer is cancer.

My dad's friend has just a few months to live now. The cancer spread thru his body so fast the doctors could do nothing. This was hard for my dad to hear and handle (now he won't tell us that) but, you could see it in his face.
My father became very blue (depressed) and every time he thought of his friend having to go thru this and how his cancer didn't hit him like that, I think my dad just tried to disappear in his mind from it all.
We tried everything and then my mom took him to a comedy club for a night out... to take his mind off of everything. And the next morning my dad was back to his cheerful (as we knew it) self. So, whenever my dad gets blue we crack jokes or we talk about things that will make him laugh.
You know what, It works!
My dad will die but, then again so will everyone that is what we call the cycle of life.
So, laugh each and everyday. Make someone laugh it is contagious you will see. They will pass it on, it is a known fact.
