Air America channel 1600 AM in New York, is the nations first Liberal talk radio station and is rapidly catching on. In a world dominated by conservative talk shows we finally have a voice in the country and it's spearheaded by Al Franken. Franken born on May 21, 1951 is an Emmy Award winning American comedian, actor, author, screenwriter, political commentator and radio host noted for his work on Saturday Night Live and liberal socio-political views. Franken serves as host of the flagship program from the liberal Air America Radio network. NewsMax.com Magazine's "Top 25 Talk Radio Host" list selected Franken as the tenth most influential host in the nation.

Air America Radio is a full-service radio network and program syndication service in the United States. The network started programming on March 31, 2004, and features discussion and information programs with hosts reflecting mainly liberal and progressive points of view. The network specializes in presentations and monologues by on-air personalities, guest interviews, calls by listeners, and news reports.

Some of the shows that Air America offers are The Young Turks, The Sam Seder Show, The Al Franken Show, The Rachel Maddow Show, and The Randi Rhodes Show. Known for her blunt in your face attitude Randi Rhodes pulls no punches. Born Randi Bueten on January 28, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, Randi is an American liberal talk radio personality. Randi enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1977 and worked as a mechanic in Texas, achieving the rank of Airman First Class. This is more than present with her constant support of the troops in Iraq. Randi has been described as rude, crude, loud, brazen, gleefully scatological and she loves every word of it.

Sam Seder born November 28, 1966 is a liberal comedian, writer, actor, film director, and television producer-director. Sam originally started on Air America aside Janeane Garofalo on The Majority Report when Janeane departed Sam was offered his own show and a renewed contract. Sam is intelligent and straight forward with a desperate need to change the current administration and the way this country is going.

The Young Turks is made up of Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz, and Jill Pike, combining politics, sex, news, pop culture, current affairs and personal stories. The show claims not to make the news but to make the news sexy. Young, fresh and hip perspectives on world news and current affairs has made them the pioneers of the new generation of liberals.
