Why do the theories of creation and evolution have to be mutually exclusive

Creation and evolution. Why do these two concepts have to be "mutually exclusive"? There is only one answer here- they aren't to begin with! There is nothing mutual about creational and evolutional theories. They are polar opposites, and as such they are individually exclusive.

The creation theory holds to the divine creation of the earth by an all-powerful and skilled Creator. Whether or not you hold to the biblical account of creation in Genesis, those who believe in the creation theory stand firm in the idea that our complex and intricate world, on a scientific level, could not have (even gradually) evolved from nothing. The only solution then would be a divine Maker who created and formed it. But who is the Maker? Why were we created? These are some of the questions that can be answered religiously, but not scientifically.

The evolution theory believes in no such Maker, but in the "Big Bang", or the gradual evolution of everything over millions and millions of years. Evolutionists might say, "Look how the ape has developed, over millions of years, into a human being!" But what is not mentioned is how the ape got there to begin with. Perhaps it gradually formed over millions of years from tiny particles floating in space. But how did the particles get there? Who made them? If it was the "Big Bang", what was existent right beforehand? These are questions which evolutionists cannot answer, and cannot be proved scientifically.

So, while neither theory can be proved in the realm of science, both exist and cause strong divides in our world today. Although some say that the creation/evolution battle is merely scientific, that is not the case. The question of "Where did we come from?" is a spiritual question, the answer to which is a spiritual answer. How is this true? They are totally different concepts- one acknowledges and appreciates an excellent Creator, while the other denies His existence and makes an excuse for their disbelief.
