It is true that theories generally precede the technology capable of proving the theory. But theories never precede the FACTS that compose the foundation of the theory.

There were ample facts to support gravity, the centrality of the sun in the universe, and the fact that the world is round. Those facts formed the bedrock of each theory long before we knew what caused gravity, before we had instruments powerful enough to view the rotation of the planets, and before we could view a spherical Earth from space. So the same may be true with time travel.

But . . .

There are no facts to support the theory of time or inter-universe travel. Sure, Hugh Everett's photon may show an interference pattern. But to jump to the conclusion that photons from another universe is the only logical explanation for the interference pattern of a single photon in our universe is a leap from fact to fiction. There are no FACTS that other universes exist. The scientific community is deficient in empirical data.

If I left my house traveling at 60 miles per hour and returned an hour later I would return an hour later. I'm sorry Mr. Einstein, if you left the Earth traveling at the speed of light and returned in a year . . . you would simply return in a year, only very quickly.

Mathematical equations cannot replace fact. Fiction cannot define reality.
