Men who are attractive are genuine. They do not try to be anyone but themselves. A woman can spot a fake from a mile away. She may enjoy a short fling with such a man but if it is a meaningful relationship that a man is after then he needs to drop any pretenses and be prepared to show who he really is.

By all means a man should try to show himself in his best light in-order to be more attractive. If he has a wonderful smile then he should smile often. If he is a snappy dresser then all the better.

Some men mistakenly believe that by showing their material assets they will be more attractive to women. All that happens in such cases is that their material possessions attract materialistic women. The women are not really attracted to the man himself.

Personal hygiene in a man tends to be important to a woman and definitely makes a man more attractive. This is often not taken on board by some men who don't appreciate the value of good grooming. Even a man who has the looks of David Beckham will turn off a woman if he doesn't bath after playing football.

Humor can be very attractive in a man. I am not talking slap-stick, prank kind of humor, but mature humor that tickles the funny bone. Joke telling can be good as long as the jokes are not offensive. Racist jokes or any jokes that suggest people or animals being hurt generally do not appeal to women.

Intelligence can be very seductive if it is displayed in the right way. I once had a date with a very intelligent man who proceeded to spend an hour telling me what was in certain paints used for the yellow lines on the road or certain buildings. This intelligence was completely wasted on me and made my date far less attractive.

Another man I dated recited poetry and discussed psychology and philosophy with me. I soon forgot about certain physical features about him that I had previously not been keen on as they paled into significance against his intellect and charm.

Every man has attractive attributes, whether it be his twinkling eyes and sense of humor or his ability to quote significant artistic phrases at the right moment. All a man needs to do to be more attractive is to play down his unattractive parts and make the most of his best features and personal abilities. Women have been doing this for years.
