Sizzling tips for a summer diet

Its the same year after year, as summer looms on the horizon out come the dieting tips.
Some people out there are happy the way they are, and no matter what they look like this is highly commendable, self-confidence is the key to a fulfilling life. however in this day and age where we are surrounded by images of beautiful people it is very hard to retain a love of ones self, i myself find it hard.
the advice available is extensive but often repetitive, so here are some lesser known tips:
metabolism is the key! fastest in the morning you should decrease portion sizes as the day goes on, also try not to eat past 6pm as your metabolism is very low at this point. exercise is obviously important in speeding up your metabolism, and it is recommended you do weights followed by cardio. eat little and often, this keeps your metabolism working.
drink copious amounts of water-this can never be stressed enough, and fiber especially fruit a healthy digestion system stops you retaining that extra weight. dried figs are a really good source of fiber.
don't aim to lose weight drastically, the only way to lose weight and keep it of is to make long term changes to your activity levels and eating habits, if you lose a lot of weight quickly and then 'go back' to eating what you deprived yourself before you will end up weighing more than you did when you began.
don't compare yourself to others and 'aim' to be like people with different shapes to you, they are almost always unrealistic goals that make you feel bad about yourself when you don't reach it, instead relish in the way your body is changing for the better.
good luck, and remember the best bits of your summer won't be about you feeling good in front of your mirror it'll be about where you go, what you see, who you spend time with and the times you had fun.
