As long as American currency continues to say 'In God We Trust', the bible should be used for swearing-in ceremonies and for pledging oath to bringing forth an honest testimonial.
Why trust in God under the idea of money, of which the concept itself is fundamentally based on greed (a negative connotation) and not trust in that same God that a person being sworn in would do an admirable job to the best of their ability. Once more, why not trust in that same Got that a person swearing an oath to a pious entity will be honest and true in testimony.
