Poetry: Infatuation

I have never felt this way before
So confused
About my emotions
For someone
An ordinary someone
That somehow paved his way
Into a extraordinary place
Of my heart

How I get exhilirated
When he appears
How I smile
When I read his messages
And I pretend to be happy
When he is sad

Fact or fiction
I am shrouded by
The grey area
Searching endlessly
For an answer
That seems too unclear

Perhaps I am afraid
That the truth I am searching for
Will defy my principles
My family's
My peers'

It is a simple
Yet sophisticated
Burning question
To follow my head
Or my heart
The latter seems to be
Leading in this race

Hopefully
The finishing line
Shall appear soon
Very soon
And then everything will
Cease to be in a blur
