Since 9/11 Americans have had to pay out of the nose as a result of terrorism. Between the stock market rising (but no one profiting), billions spent on a (what should have been just a mob style) hit on the Hussein Family, and the oil companies relentless profiteering; we (the Sheeple of the USA) have just sat back and taken it where the sun don't shine.
Let's examine some of the places they have hit us in the wallet and why:
Airports
1. Airport security surcharges
2. (Free)Parking near a Terminal suspended
3. Extra time needed to get through security
Oil Companies
1. Aggression against oil rich countries
2. War profiteering
3. Temporarily shutting down their own refineries, thus raising prices to all-time highs
4. Protected by legislators who have accepted their cash contributions
5. Oil companies oppose alternative technologies, until they own their patents
Utilities
1. Natural Gas comes from the ground, it is not manufactured.
2. Pipelines that feed natural gas to consumers are already in place.
3. Natural gas prices should be drastically lower every year, not skyrocketing.
Long Distance
1. The federal government taxes all of our home long distance phone calls
2. Cell phones offer free long distance (thus saving in Federal taxes)
Food
1. Gas prices at the pumps reflected in delivery charges added on to grocery store prices.
2. Growing corn for fuel will cost us more for corn used for consumption.
3. Growth hormones injected in farm animals heading to market may be a cause for this nation's obesity.
Taxes
1. Why does this country have income tax? Why are we penalizing people who want to work?
2. 13% National Sales Tax (Make the wealthy pay their fair share when it comes to luxuries).
Welfare
1. Any baby born in the US by an illegal alien must remain under the status 'foreigner'. They do this in 80% of the countries around the world, it isn't 'unfair'.
2. Any woman who has more than 2 or 3 children and has been continually on welfare may have to consider permanent personal birth control.
The War
1. NEVER START (OR TRY TO MAINTAIN) A WAR UNLESS YOU HAVE A WORKABLE EXIT STRATEGY!
