Homemade foot scrub recipes

Summer is almost here and with summer comes the sandals and flip-flops! Are your feet ready for some exposure this summer? If not don't panic! There are several easy homemade foot scrub recipes that you can whip up in the comfort of your own home without spending a ton of money!

My favorite foot scrub recipe is an all natural one made from kosher salt, oatmeal and cornmeal.

You just mix up 1/4 cup of kosher salt, 1/4 cup oatmeal and 1/4 cup cornmeal. Then you add 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel and 1/4 cup unscented body lotion to your dry ingredients. Mix it all together until it forms a tick paste. This paste is then used to scrub and massage the feet. The oatmeal and salt will work to remove dead skin cells while the other ingredients work to moisturize.

If you want a homemade mixture that will really exfoliate rough feet consider trying a sugar exfoliating recipe! This is a very basic exfoliating recipie that is a great first recipe to try out especially if you are apprehensive about homemade recipes! All you need is cup of granulated sugar and about 2 tablespoons of lotion. Simply mix the sugar and lotion in a bowl and work the mixture into your feet. The sugar granules will exfoliate your skin while you massage. Rinse the mixture off your feet with cool water and pat dry.

Lavender and Peppermint Glow Recipe has a rejuvenating scent and is a great exfoliater! All you need is 1 1/2 cups of sea salt, 1/4 cup of sweet almond oil, 2 drops of peppermint essential oil, 3 drops of lavender essential oil. First you mix the sea salt and the almond oil until it is the consistency you prefer. Add the essential oils last and mix well. Massage the mixture into your feet and ankles paying special attention to your rough spots. Rinse feet and ankles with warm water and moisturize after feet are dry.

Moisturizing Foot Spa Recipe is great for moisturizing those feet after you have thoroughly exfoliated them. You will need the following: 4 teaspoons of almond oil or olive oil, 4 teaspoons of cocoa butter, four vitamin E capsules (I used vitamin e supplements and just poked a hole in them to get the oil out.), clean socks, two rubber bands, two plastic bags and a tub full of warm water. Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl and work the moisturizer into you feet. With the moisturizer still on your feet put your socks on and then wrap your sock covered feet in the two plastic bags, use the rubber bands to secure the plastic bags. Next place your plastic bag covered feet into the warm water and relax for several minutes. When you are ready remove the socks, plastic bags, rubber bands and you are done! The mixture will absorb into your feet and they will be moisture rich and ready to be shown off.

Tingly Peppermint Foot Spray Recipe is great for reviving achy tired feet! Gather up a cup distilled water, 1/4 cup of vodka, 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint essential oil and 1/4 teaspoon of tee tree oil. All you need to do is combine all the ingredients and pour them into a spray bottle. Spray your tired achy feet whenever you need a refresher!

Milk and Honey Foot Soak is my absolute favorite because I just love the way milk and honey feels and how it moisturizes! This is also a fairly easy recipe to whip up. Everything you need is in your kitchen! Simply gather up about seven cups of warm or hot water, two cups of milk and cup of honey. Mix all the ingredients together and soak your feet for about ten minutes, rinse and pat dry.
