Sometimes the stresses of being in a wedding can be hard for everyone involved. There could be several reasons why a best man would bail but I don't think anyone is good enough unless he had sex with the bride to be. Your best man should be chosen with great care. Do not be afraid of making someone mad. The man you choose should be the man that you truly have confidence in. The man who has seen you through it all.

The best man is the man who has your back no matter what and knows your worst and dirtiest secrets. He has to be the man that you trust whole-heartedly. That being said if you choose a bailer, simply reevaluate the men you have and select the best one out of the bunch. Most often you will find that the man you choose as the backup was actually the best choice from the beginning. Remember this is your day and you want people standing by you in support and with your best interests at heart. Do not panic, just make sure that next guy you pick is the best one for the job.
