Congratulations on having a choice in the matter!
Choosing to remain in the workforce is certainly a viable option! You have so many options! You can, of course, think about remaining in the same career, and capacity, as you have been in. You can remain in the same field, but change departments or directions. You can shift from full time to part time. The choice is yours! Feel free to think about it, and also to change your mind! Rarely in life do we allow ourselves the total freedom to back pedal. What better time than this?
Another choice would be to begin a new venture...doing something you have always enjoyed. Now, you have the luxury of time on your side! Always enjoyed crafting? Market your wares at a crafters show! Flower arranging in your blood? Sell at Flea Markets, to friends, at house parties and take orders! Busy people are always looking for something beautiful that is CUSTOM tailored to their own tastes! You would no doubt be a smashing success.
Enjoy a place you always patronize? Apply to work there one or two days a week. In addition to already liking the ambiance of the place, you will earn a paycheck, and, maybe get a discount on the goods or services as well!
The choices are as limitless as your imagination. Don't be afraid to dream and ponder....to try something you have always wondered about, or, to choose nothing! You can always change your mind!
