Upon a rainy day,
I met you in dismay,
you sat in your chair on the phone,
and into my eyes your heart did hone,
and instantly my love you owned.
My knees trembled,
and my heart skipped a beat,
every time our eyes did meet.
So here we are today,
seven years later plus a few days,
and you still make me feel the same way.
Yet sometimes I wonder,
if your love might ever ponder,
to be without me one day.
So I ask you sometimes,
will our love stand the test of times?
Because a vow to me you have not made,
to be with me every day,
to have a family one day.
These are the questions that you see in my eyes,
and this I'm sorry,
but I cannot disguise.
So the waiting game we'll play,
until one day you say,
"Will you marry me today?"
And because of this,
I will know that our love is true
and pure as gold.

Love, Now That You Are Here
