Ok we all know that you have to buy gas. No matter what you have to buy gas. If gas prices got up to 100 bucks a gallon, you would have to buy gas. Everyone Knows this. You could not go anywhere if you do not put gas in your vehicle.
The gas companies reported last year , major profit from the high gas prices. We all heard the news when they did the annual reports. What no one thinks of, is that the cashiers at these stores that you stop in to get your gas, have not received any kick back from this. The highest profitable industry. and the guy at the forefront, taking the brunt of all the anger, receives no kick back on this. NONE! Does this tell you what they think of the people at the bottom rung? This poor guy works in the highest paid industry and he has to work one and a half days to make enough money to get a full tank of gas. The irony of it is, HE FRICKEN WORKS THERE FOR THAT INDUSTRY..GAS! the scary part is, the guy gets paid bi-weekly. so if he is lucky to work close to home, he gets three gas fill ups per pay period.
There have been a few petitions I have seen online where people say "oh don't buy gas at the expensive " or" high quality gas stations". Really that would lead to a shortage of the crap gas, and we all know what happens when there is a shortage of crap gas, the good gas becomes even more valuable and the prices will fricken skyrocket . So that is a STUPID idea. there are letters going around saying only fill up on Fridays or what ever.. yeah so on Friday we run out of gas.. idiots.
There are two ways of going about this that will hit home.
1. 90% of the stations are owned independently, but the gas is corporate. just buy gas at gas stations. Do not buy the over priced junk that you think you have to have from the gas station. Go to grocery stores and buy your needed supplies there . Like beer snacks and so on. Buy your cigarettes at the reservations, that would help with another issue cigarette taxes! plus it's cheaper. This would put a huge squeeze on the station owners and force them to take action and petition the corporate companies, or go out of business. trust me corporate does not want the headache of being in the front line, to much to account for and way to much staff to face.
2. This is the one I think really should be thought about.. All cashiers in the usa have the right to go on strike. Just like any other business. A hand full of signs saying "we can not afford to work for you" would make the point. If the strike lasted 3 days, that would be a very huge hit. if the strike lasted one hour, that would be a hit that the oil companies could never get back up from. It would make the largest companies in the usa stagger into a shamefull wobble . The country would go into a panic trying to locate gas. The only gas stations open would have the owners and or managers in the front line facing what they pay the cashiers crappy wages to face, but ten fold.. or greater.. sure it would be an inconvenience for a large amount of people, but would help us all in the end.
Imagen if this happened right before the next holiday.
