Sinking Love
I've always known where things are going
Though at times, I could have drowned
In a sea of oblivion
To save a smile from a frown.
And I wished the sky would clear up,
The dark clouds fade away,
So as to have the love of freedom
And shout what I couldn't shout today.
It was never that I didn't love you
That in my heart, you lacked a place;
I could not bare to see the tear drop
As I ventured without a trace.
And my regret in this world is
That, alas, I let you go;
Lower and lower, I sank to the bottom,
A lover's dream that I forgo.
