Poetry: Love

by Tiago

Sinking Love

I've always known where things are going

Though at times, I could have drowned

In a sea of oblivion

To save a smile from a frown.

And I wished the sky would clear up,

The dark clouds fade away,

So as to have the love of freedom

And shout what I couldn't shout today.

It was never that I didn't love you

That in my heart, you lacked a place;

I could not bare to see the tear drop

As I ventured without a trace.

And my regret in this world is

That, alas, I let you go;

Lower and lower, I sank to the bottom,

A lover's dream that I forgo.
