Who are the true gays and lesbians?
Article ToolsThis is a very complex question. There are so many shades of gray in sexuality. If you are a man only attracted to men then you are gay. If you are a woman only attracted to women then you are a lesbian. If you are a man or woman attracted to both you are a bisexual. It's not that cut and dry but those are your basic definitions. I believe that you are born gay but because of the pressures put on us by society, some of us do not allow ourselves to see our true selves. There are many gay people who live in heterosexual relationships because they are afraid of what their family will say or that they will burn in hell but they are still gay. They are attracted to people of the same sex, not by choice but by nature. They choose to live the straight lifestyle because it's what their families and churches expect or they think it's simpler and safer than admitting that they are gay and living a gay lifestyle.
