Why you should vote in the next election and why it's worth it

Yes, everyone should vote in the next election and all elections in the future. Why? Because it's a privilege that people who have fought in our wars have sacrificed their lives. It's important for the future of American democracy. It's a sad commentary on American society when more people vote on who should advance on American Idol than vote in elections. Elected representatives and senators make decisions that affect our lives. Their decisions and votes affect the country on a monumental scale. If you refuse to vote, you shouldn't complain because you were too lazy not to participate. It doesn't cost you anything in a financial sense. You have from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm to vote. That is 14 hours to vote and it only takes a few minutes behind the curtain.
More voting by everyone will hold politicians accountable. They regard us with indifference or contempt because we don't vote in large numbers or percentages. This is one of the reasons why many of them are corrupt. National standards of morality decrease when voter apathy increases. Study the issues and candidates and vote in the next election! Your future will depend on it!
