Well, if this question were to be answered in one sentence, I would just say, "Life is the best teacher." That may sound trite, but it is true.

Well, look back on your life and recall all the classmates who studied with you from kindergarten to high school. All of you went through the same school system, the same teachers, the same quizzes and the same exams. Each of you may have studied the same concepts in math, science or language, but the total learning that you took back from school is completely different for each of you. And it is so unique and personal, because that is what you have learned in YOUR life.

So, if Life is the teacher, how can we learn better from it? In my opinion, we can maximize our learning just be being open to new experiences and by accepting with equanimity all that life brings our way. Every experience in life, comes with a purpose to teach us something. Once we accept that, and learn the lessons we are meant to learn, we become the kind of pupils that we are meant to be, on this earth. We reach the maximum potential that we are capable of and become the best kind of students that we can.

And when you have the combination of the best teacher (Life) and the best student (You), then the learning transforms into a true spiritual experience.
