It is highly unfair to any team who can win in the NFL and have a home in colder environment with no dome. If the top seed in either conference is from such (a cold environment) and makes the big game to play a lower seed team then who really has the advantage. Play that good, go that far and in the end play some wild card from a southern region in Houston or Miami so they can run at normality is disapproving.
What is wrong with the Super Bowl in Buffalo? Maybe the league should let the better record having team host such games. What better reward!?! Why do assigned cities reap the benefits from hosting when the team played, coaches talk and upper management recruited with so much effort to make it to such a game of magnitude. If your hometown team hosted the big game would you go?
Not a bad word for the Colts in winter of 2006. A team full of greatness but; does Chicago win that game in 30 degree weather, wind and rain? what if the Bears run through the playoffs again? Maybe they should just take turns from one climate to the other. Not to cheer for a particular team.
As a writer, not a critic, the NFL should let issues such as weather play a part in all games including the biggest one ( unless your team is horrible and you're a better player, then get you a pro-bowl jersey) or dome top stadiums all together so that nothing interferes with play but the players themselves.
