I am not one to complain much as I realize that people of all breeds need their relaxation and fun. Some even use their hobbies to relaxe with even without concern to who it may annoy.
Dirt track race cars are the main ones I speak of. I wonder what it would hurt them to put mufflers on their cars to help stop the niose pollution, not to mention the quality of the air that would be cleaned up some. I have been to these kind of tracks just to see what all the fuss is and after being to one a time or two I found the fuss was in my nose and ears. Each time after I left and went home I honestly blew oil residue out of my sinuses. Now I know that if we have to keep mufflers on our cars driving down the road there must a health concern somewhere? Maybe it wouldn't be too bad if they only raced for a few hours but for five and six hours long is a bit endulging on even the health of those who pass by, again not to mention those who live in the area. As for the sound, sure one can use earplugs while at the track but what about while we are siting in our homes and trying to rest or sleep up for work the next day? Maybe the sound would not be so bad if they would quit racing at a descent hour instead of one or two o'clock in the morning. All this makes me wonder, does the Government allow this kind of pollution to carry on because they are making a few dollars with it? Try driving down town or on the interstate without a muffler and see how far you get before you get a ticket.
