pain in the neck and how to get out the kinks. ice wrapped in a cloth when stiffness is just settling in. after the inflammation is reduced heat is a real soother for this a hot shower will do it. over the counter ointments are a plus for this kind of condition. by stretching your neck and doing exercises to strengthen the muscle will also help. move head back and forth a few times to relieve pain. ibuprofen and aspirin will help reduce the inflammation and pain. choose a firm chair to sit in when sitting that will give you really good back support. your neck need to be relaxed as it too gets tired. try to prevent stress related muscle movement with your face to your neck try not too frown much .lots of rest will take away most of the pain. a pillow is not a must you can do with out one. try not to toss and turn. have always if possible a firm mattress to sleep on . this is also plus for that all in all good posture.when lifting heavy objects try to bend at the knees to take off weight from the lifting. lift carefully. whip lash will call for a physicians care.try not to sleep on your tummy.on cold nights cover up the entire body from head to toe. and summer time do the exact opposite.lots of pressure will bring on a pain in the neck. techniques of relaxation OR meditation are fine with a little care should do it.audio tapes on relaxation are available at your local store for a small price.
