Tarot cards hold many secrets that we as humans are not always capable of extracting such secrets on our own terms. Tarot cards are merely considered a peek into our subconscious, and tell us no more than we already know.
Its uncertain how our subconscious may know what happens tomorrow. Is it possible that we can all see our own futures in dreams? One who is untrained may not recognize these dreams, until the time comes where we say, "This has happened before." Otherwise known as deja-vous. For those who believe in re-incarnation, maybe we have just done it all before. Maybe our curse is, that we know our fate before we are even born, which is why we feel so uneasy when we make the mistakes that we make.
I think its unfair to say that the cards either "work" or do not. There are many skeptics who believe that they are so vague that anyone could relate to them. Which would present that the cards do not work. On the other hand, there are those who have had readings, and had events that happens that creates a believer out of them.
As a card reader, there are many readings that I have conducted that seem the very opposite of vague, and cannot relate to anyone other than the person who it is meant for. However, not every reading is as fortunate to have such energy attached to it.
Predictions in tarot cards do not always eventuate. Its been my experience, that sometimes the reading is to heed a warning to the querent of the sometimes fatal consequences that may be imminent if this person continues on the path that they are traveling. This gives the opportunity for this person to make the necessary changes, which will change the outcome significantly.
At the end of all this, I believe that it truly comes down to personal experience. One can extract what they will from this divination. However, none of it is written in stone, and we need to except our association with our destiny, and ask ourselves what we can do maximize the outcome. After all, there are certain things that tarot cards just won't tell you.
