The government should be held to the same principles of good business management as a publicly held US corporation

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

That is how our constitution starts off "we the people", and that makes our government very unique on this planet, you see our government works for us, thats right we are the sovereign's of our nation. We tend to loose that in translation from time to time, and the politicians, they would like us to think that they know better how to use our resources (money) better than us, but lets look at it from another point of view.

Think of it this way, we are stock holders in the "largest, most complex company on earth, our company has more employees and more assets than any other company in the world, and because of that we really shouldn't hold it accountable for how it uses
our money and assets as stock holders? Thats absurd!

Lets look at Walmart, its the largest company in the world, and only our government has more employees oh and by the way they own some of the richest real estate in the world, if walmart's sole purpose was to get bigger and bigger, eventually it would reach a point were it could no longer grow because it's income would not match it's outflow, why? because eventually you, as a consumer, would not pay $50 for a loaf of bread, and it's stock holders would get tired of not making any money.

"Well that's Walmart, whats it got to do with the government?", alot actually, you see walmart is very much like our government neither actually produces anything, or do they?... Thats right they produce service, to their customers and their stock holders the problem is our government is horrible at it in so many ways!

The biggest job that our government does anymore is get bigger, and the problem with that is most of the bureaucracy's only exist now to exist, they cost much more than the program they were originally intended to administer, and almost all of them have become the proverbial "WHITE ELEPHANT".

Now I agree that the job of our government, is to establish justice, provide for the common defence, and to promote the general welfare of our nation, but what does that mean? Well quite simply it means the establishment of laws and punishments be they monetary, or incarceration and it means the establishment of our armed services, and promoting the welfare means everything from building infrastructure to regulating trade with other nations.

Lets look at this a little in depth, for example,roads and bridges need to be built but million dollar frescoes on bridges is over the top and a waste of OUR resources! I am sure if you look around you will see many many more examples of how our government is wasting our resources, and its not just on things we all use from day to day, for
example prisons have to be built, but to keep building more and more prisons for overcrowding is absurd, a responsible government needs to examine it's laws and decide if they may be causing the situation, before treating the symptom!

The bottom line is because we do not hold our government to accountability our nation is slowly going bankrupt as our government spends more and more they tax us more and more, the problem is as a consumer I'm tired of paying $50 for a loaf of bread, and as a stock holder I'm tired of not having any money.
