HIKARI KNOWS WHAT FISHES LIKE!

Hikari brand fish food has been on the market in US for over 30 years and they have been researching different diets to find the optimum food to feed your betta to stay healthy and active and colorful. Hikari has had their own facilities for over 100 years where they breed and study different aquatic species and their eating habits.

WHY BETTA BIO-GOLD IS MY CHOICE FOR OUR BETTA

When we bought our betta from the local pet store we bought another brand of fish food which was recommended by the store owner for us. Those pellets where three times bigger than Hikari Betta baby pellets and almost black comparing to golden brown color of Hikari pellets.

I was adviced to give the fish 1-2 pellets twice a day which I did. Our betta would eat some of those pellets but he seemed to have hard time chewing that big pellet and digest it. Often he would not even touch the second pellet. He seemed to just lay on the bottom of his tank and was not very active at all.

I went to buy some plants for his tank and saw this brand on my local Walmart. I liked the smaller size pellets and I recognized Hikari brand because I used to feed it to my goldfish years ago. I'm glad I bought this food! Our betta attacks these pellets and eats them so much easier. He is way more active and waits for more, comparing to just laying on the bottom most of the time before.

Our betta eats 4 of these pellets twice a day and there is no waste. He has been on this diet now for four months and grown bigger and I believe that he looks flashier than before, I know he is very active and seems quite happy.

PROMISED BENEFITS

* Floating Pellets.

They are easy to monitor to avoid over feeding. So you do not waste food. These pellets are not supposed to cloud the water either.

* Expect Natural, Brilliant Colors

These pellets have "color enhancers" which reduce fading and are designed with Bio-Technology for optimum result.

* Stabilized Vitamin C

Vitamin C helps to reduce stress and resistance to diseases. Promotes long, healthy life.

CLOUDY WATER, HARD TO DISPENSE?

I do have to change the water in the tank almost weekly because it does get cloudy. I don't think the food itself does that because our fish eats it very quickly. But he does have good appetite and of course that means more poop on the tank! To me that is not a big deal I prefer my betta having a healthy appetite.

Some people complain about the dispenser. I find it very handy and easy to use after little practice. You can count the amount of the pellets on the "nook" of the pipe before pouring them to my hand. So no waste! You can always take the food out and place it to another container if you do not like the "pipe design".

I have the smallest size available 0.07 Oz (2.5 g) and still after four months about half of the pellets left so this food is very economical to use! According to their website you can also buy NEW 0.70 Oz size or even bigger 2.2 Lb container which should last forever..
