I have observed and spoken to individuals who have gone on to lead their particular fields of study and they are the beneficiaries of great success. Here are 20 success qualities I was able to compile based on my conversations and observations.

1. Be a self- started. You have to be a mover and shaker which is someone who takes the initiative to go above and beyond the call of duty. They do things that make them stand out so they get noticed not only management but by there peers as well. They volunteer for projects no one wants and once they take the responsibility for a project they make it happen.

2. They have creative ideas. They tap into their creative imagination for new ideas and solutions..

3. They analyze what makes sense

4. Have the guts to make tough decisions. To become successful calls for you to make decisions that are not popular with everyone but ultimately you become successful because people will respect you for having the character and tenacity to make those decisions.

5. Dedicated. To become a success you must be dedicated to the cause or vision of whatever entity you are involved with.

6. You must work hard and smart. This calls for being the first one in and the last one to leave. You must also make that extra phone or make that extra sales call visitation.

7. Keep your sense of humor. Always have a sense of humor because others will view you as someone that's approachable and friendly. These are also qualities needed to get ahead and become a success.

8. Share the responsibility and the credit.

9. Set Goals that stretch you.

10. Be a prudent risk taker

11. Keep your horizons and interests broad.

12. Learn from failures and mistakes.

13. Establish a reputation for integrity and honesty

14. Be a good listener

15. Have compassion for co-workers and treat them like family

16. Keep your word. Always do what you say you are going to do. Your word is your bond.

17. Have great focus and concentration

18. Know yourself - your strengths, abilities, and limitations

19. Pursue those things you have a passion for

20. Be enthusiastic

Combine these together is I predict success is in your future.
