Malcolm Little my have been one of the smarest Negros of his generation. Malcolm as a troubled teen that did what any other normal teen would do, and cause trouble. Malcolm spent time in prison his mother Louise Norton Little couldn't hold down 8 children after his father, Earl Little died. Malcolm with out a real role model did well untill a "White" figure to him said he should be a carpenter because Laywers were for whites.
Malcolm became a trouble maker while working on the train system, he got into gambling stealingand ect. He then hooked up with a friend in Shorty, A.K. A. Malcolm Jarvis, where they got cought in Boston Massachusetts on burglary charges. The normal sentence for petty burglary is 8 months, but the judge throw the book at Malcolm. Malcolm was a negro stealing from a white man, with white women, who happen to be connected to the place robbed.
His crime was burglary, but his charge was inter-racial relationship, and at that time inter-racial relationships were a big no, no. While in jail he got in with the Nation Of Islam. The NOI feed malcolm with the insight he need to wake up. Malcolm was never a troubled person, just a soul looking for leadership. He read books, wrote to the legislature a million times, and helped form the NOI in the jail system. The NOI gave Malcolm the mentorship need to be a leader.
Days before his release from prison Malcolm had a meeting with Elijah Muhammad, where he appointed Malcolm Minster for the NOI. Malcolm then returned a favor and bulit the NOI to the power religion it was in the late 60's to late 80's. Malcolm was becoming larger than the NOI would ever thought, but some say Louis "Faraukon" and other leaders where jealous of the rise of Minister Malcom. So one day after Elijah Muhammad died the others in the NOI, placed a plot to remove Malcolm. Malcolm felt the betrayal from the NOI, and removed himself from them, he then went to a pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
He wanted to learn the true meaning of Islam. This is were his views of the "White man" changed because Malcom found himself eating from the same bowl, and drinking water from the same cup in Mecca; where "whites" were there. Malcolm became a true Muslim, and a dangerous Asset to the NOI. He came back with a different view, where his famous qoute is, "We didn't land on plmymouth rock, plymouth rock landed on us." A couple of years before his death Malcom met with Martin Luther King Jr. And they talked about current events. Hearsay said that Martin told Malcolm to watch his back, while Malcolm told Martin that the Feds are watching Martin.
I believe two men with that type of power was a threat to the government and the NOI. If they wouldn't have been kilt, you might have seen the first negro born males as president and vise president. At a speaking engagement in the Manhattan's Audubon Ballroom on February 21, 1965 three gunmen rushed Malcolm onstage. They shot him 15 times at close range. Malcom X Shabazz, A.K.A Malcolm Little was dead at the age of 39, who some say was by his own kind. Martin luther King who was 36 at that time soon realized that his journey was in the same path of Brother Malcolm. Martin Luther King Died 1968, at the same age 39.
