There is one reason for Bush's invasion on Iraq, and that's oil. Yes, it was (and still is) all about the oil. I do not doubt for one second that 9/11 was the work of the US government. The complete ignorance of the disaster in New York city on September 11th shown by President Bush was appalling! He may have felt scared, lost, confused, and yes he may have been in a kindergarten class at the time. But for God's sake you hear that planes have crashed into the twin towers you do SOMETHING you're the President!
Also, there have been studies performed by professional and respected engineers that prove that there is no way that the impact and heat caused by the planes colliding with the towers could of compromised the buildings' structure. There is actual footage that reveals explosions in the lower floors, which are believed, by some, to of caused the collapse of the two towers.
I understand that this is a difficult topic for some, and my heart goes out to all of those who were directly effected by the unspeakable disaster. But it is ridiculous how the US believes that the entire world is theirs for the taking. They want it, they get it. Well I'm sorry America, but no. You may have been the most powerful country at one time, you may have guns, bombs and tanks galore! But that ain't getting you the world. It doesn't work like that I'm afraid. And if America thinks that the rest of us are going to let it happen you are sadly mistaken. You've had your day, it's over, deal with it.
You could argue that 9/11 WAS a terrorist attack. In that case I ask you "Is that reason enough to invade a country?". That attack was not an attack made by Iraq. It was not on behalf of Iraq's citizens. It was a selfish, pathetic, cruel attempt to get attention and to cause suffering, made by a small group of individuals. This is no reason to invade the country that these people came from.
You may argue that America went to Iraq peacefully, to help Iraq. So why are Iraqi children dying from gunshot wounds fired by American guns? Why are innocent Iraqi's losing their homes to bombs?
The US have invaded Iraq for their oil, but they could not do this without reason, and they do not want to declare war, oh no, this would make America look bad. Well guess what guys, you DO look bad, and you have lost the respect of the vast majority of the world in the past few years, I hope it backfires, but I pray for your solders who fight for the right reasons, who are there to help, and I pray for the British solders, sent by England out of fear of the crumbling US empire.
Enjoy it while it lasts boys...
