HUGO HURLEY REYES
Hurley is a larger than life character as they say . He is a big man with wild curly hair and a gentle disposition . He worked for peanuts at a fast food place until he won the lottery and became a millionaire .He too has his demons and strange links with the island and the other passengers from the flight .

CLAIRE LITTLETON
Claire is heavily pregnant at the time of the crash and there are several hints that this unborn baby has something to do with the crash .She now has baby Aaron .

JIN-SOO and SUN-HWA KWON
This newly married couple are from very different sides of the tracks . The South Korean Jin has links with gangsters while Sun has a more privileged lifestyle .I assume she is of the same nationality though I am not sure .

SAYID JARAH
Under what seems a gentle exterior lies a former Iraqi torturer and soldier . His expertise in these and other fields become highly useful .

There are many other characters and some have departed , quite literally as they have died, whilst others will reappear .All of the above were in the early series of Lost and have remained fairly consistent . At the beginning we also had :-

Shannon Rutherford and her step-brother Boone Carlye , both deceased now .Shannon had a fleeting relationship with Sayid .
Michael Dawson , his son Walt Lloyd and his dog Vincent. Walt at one time seemed central to the plot and the crash .These are no longer on the island , or so it would seem , having left on a boat with the 'Others'
Charlie Pace is a declining rock musician with a drugs problem . He lately drowned .

There have been other characters coming and going throughout this wonderful series .I have tried not to spoil any plots for the uninitiated who may fancy giving Lost a whirl . If you do I know you will become hooked . The plot is just so addictive and confusing but the characters and their individual stories are what really make the show .
