Today I'm feeling sad,With an aching in my heart
I've lost my dearest friend forever we will be apart
He shall be there in my thoughts and in my memory
I know I shall miss him,He will always be dear to me

I did not know the suffering and pain was getting worse
And he could not tell me,because you see he was a horse
So God in his wisdom has taken my friend from me
To relieve his suffering, to stop the agony

Today I'm feeling sad,My heart is filled with pain
But I hope my friend and I will someday meet again
We shall ride thru the heavens,Gallop on a cloudy shore
when God in his wisdom brings us together once more
