CITIBANK

Citibank, one of the world's largest banks with over 200 million customers in over 100 countries. Citibank was established in 1812 and changed hands four times before 1910. Citibank merged with Travelers in 1998 making it one of the largest banks in the world today.

Citibank offers six types of checking accounts.

1) CITIBANK EZ CHECKING

- With direct deposit, there is no monthly fee. (with out direct deposit fees range

from $7.00 to $9.00 with a .50 cent check writing charge per check. The fees vary
between countries)
- Unlimited check writing (with direct deposit)
- Free online banking and Bill Pay
- Fraud and Identity Theft Protection

2) CITIBANK ACCOUNT

- Minimum monthly balance of $6,000 no monthly fee (under the minimum fees vary from
$9.50 to $12.50 per country)
- Same .50 cents per check when balance is not meet
- Offers the same benefits as the Citibank EZ account
- PLUS: Free debit card

3) CITIBANK EXTRA ACCOUNT

- Minimum balance of $10,000. no monthly fee if balance is maintained ($20.00 flat
rate if balance is under the minimum.)
- Free check writing (with maintained balance otherwise .50 cents a check)
- Offers the same benefits as the first two accounts
- PLUS: This type of checking account can be combined with any other account at
Citibank, to maintain your minimum balance.
- Free overdraft protection
- Credit cards with rewards
- Discounts on loans

4) CITIBANK PREMIUM ACCOUNT

- Minimum balance of $100,000 no monthly fee for maintained balance ($25.00 flat
rate if balance is under minimum.)
- This account also offers all the same benefits as the first three.
- This checking account is mainly used for small business, who have multiple
accounts at the bank.
- PLUS: Interest rate

5) CITIBANK ACCESS ACCOUNT

- No Minimum Balance
- If you make one direct deposit a month, no monthly fees (otherwise $3.00 a month)
- Free online banking and Bill Pay
- Fraud and Identity Theft Protection
- Very basic checking account
- NO debit card offered with this account

6) CITIBANK BASIC ACCOUNT

- No minimum balance, monthly fee vary depending on state/country from $3.50 to $9.50
- Write up to 8 checks a month free (.50 cents a check after that)
- Free online banking and Bill pay
- Fraud and Identity Theft Protection
- NO debit card
- Most affordable checking account offered at Citibank.

Citibank offers a checking account to address everyones banking needs. They also have an excellent customer service center. Their online banking is also an added plus you can open an account and apply for a loan from the comfort of home.
