There are two problems with this line of thought. First, it is a crime and they know it. They risk life and money to come here knowing the risks. Second, if we make it right than it is not longer wrong and a flood of people will start to come across the border.

Illegal means wrong and they should pay a penalty and be sent back to the other end of Mexico and try to come in this country legally like everyone else. If not, than we will just be allowing low life scum and criminals to penetrate our borders. Granted, there are lots of illegals who are not criminals but many are. Stealing identities, not paying taxes, using health care without paying for any of the services, they are stealing not only our identities but our money. Taxes belong to the citizens of American and no one else. If they use our roads they should be here legally or else they are stealing.

If we make it easy for Mexicans to come to America we will have a crisis on our hands. We will have to support them, make everything in Spanish and English, (it already is in California to Texas), and then what? America is the land of opportunity because people come here and work hard, abide the laws, and help others. If these principles are lost than so is America and it is going that way.

Another problem, by giving them a route to citizenship it will also tell the rest of the world, look, they cannot control their borders. They have no spine, they are controlled by liberals and illegals. It is just sad, the people who speak out for easy immigration are not tax payers, are not businesses, they are Mexicans, politicians who have ties to Mexico or are looking for publicity and fame. If all Americans voted on this issue and American born citizens only, illegals would be sent with a one way ticket and none of their belongings to the other side of Mexico. This would make it nearly impossible for them to return to Mexico. Most of them spent everything to get here and if we take everything they stole and leave them with nothing back in their country, they will not be able to make enough money for years to make it back to the other side of Mexico and try again.

I know I sound harsh, I love traveling and love all cultures, but I cannot stand illegals, criminals, and anything that hurts others. Illegal immigration imposes on others, they need to come in legally. Create ways in which people can come to American, allow more to come, but with restrictions. They must pass exams on basic American laws, learn basic English, pay all costs to enter America, heavy fines and deportation for any crimes committed in America, etc...

This problem can be resolved and should be resolved quickly. I see a greater expense because of illegal immigrants than the total cost of the Iraq war, and most economists would agree after a short analysis.
