"Marble table..Uhh..drenched with blood.."
My eyes darted throughout the darkness. "It seems I'm..Uhh..sitting in a chair? Noone else quite in sight.." I lift my weak arms, some plastic tubes provide extra weight.
"Adjusting, adjusting, eyes adjusting."a narrator announces with no surprise from myself. I sat still awhile as my visions fixated. My right hand moved to my left arm, ran its fingers across the plastic slowly. It hurt like Hell.
"Skin pierced, tubing to painful to remove."
I hold both arms up for inspection. "Symmetrical tubing running through right and left limb.
Getting weaker." I say and drop my arms upon the table. Specks of red fly and scatter in the air.
"I m wailing and flailing" I pronounce to myself as my hands slide around on the warm liquid, in the warm liquid.
"It's getting a little out of control" The announcer speaks again, his electronic voice rings systematically through my ear drums. It was then I Froze. "I see the heart.." There plastered upon the table placed neatly (but still a bit ajar). "I hear the beating.." Timed intervals of a single sound repeated over and over and over. My stained fingers rested over my own heart..or what would have been my heart if it was there.
"A tear rolls down my cheek." I said narrating my life this time. "He had to have it. He had to take the heart."
And so I did. I reached and reached. The tubes ripped and ripped, I tasted the vomit in my throat, screamed, telling myself to stop
In truth, everything stopped.
My eyes opened and there was the sweet comfort of my own bedroom.
I closed my eyes in agony and viewed the unattainable, beating fellow.
I widened my vision again, the sweet comfort of a pillow.
Closing once more, the sweet sorrow of what is rightfully mine.
For now, I have no heart. I have a dream.
"This is me Awakening."
