Head please leave me alone
I don't want to think today
I said "Head just leave me alone!"
Please just go away.
The thoughts that you give me
Go round and round
I feel like I'm screaming
Without making a sound.
To have the peace
Of my mind not adrift
With ideas and images
That will not shift
Oh please leave me alone
Let me sleep
Till the morning at least
My memories keep
