Improving the overall health of African-Americans

We live in an age where "fast food" rules. On every major intersection you can always find at least one of these: MCDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King or Taco Bell. Serving up a menu that is mainly cooked in beef shortening, it's not astonishing to know that most Americans are overweight. Who wouldn't be when served up a menu that mine as well just be grease?

Not taking care of your body by eating the proper foods, is a main factor in why African Americans suffer from ailments such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. Fried chicken, fish and pork chops (all fried) served with macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and many other starches is a typical menu for a "Sunday" dinner, that is prevalent among most black families.

Exercise along with healthy eating habits, is a way to improve the overall health of African Americans.
