These easy-to-make soft tacos and taco meat are sure to be a hit with any family.
Filling:
Brown 2 lbs ground beef (or chicken).
Add:
1 envelope onion soup mix (optional)
1 19 oz can tomato juice or V-8 juice
1 c. ketchup
c. brown sugar
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
salt
Cover and simmer one hour until thick.
Tacos:
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp salt
c. cornmeal
2 tbsp melted margarine
Beat eggs with milk. Add flour, salt, cornmeal, and margarine. Beat until smoth. Cook c. mixture in 7-inch pan.
Spoon meat onto taco, add chopped tomato, lettuce, and cheese.
