by Sam Roberts

Created on: May 24, 2007

I woke up this morning and smelt a terrible stench, looked around me BANG' I ran for the nearest trench. It was mucky, sick and awfully red, then Bang' my heart sank and I lowered my head.

Then I heard voices, I hope its Fred, there was a gun BANG BANG BANG' Yes it's the German's I hope they're all dead. The guns had stopped so I got up and looked BANG BANG' ow no they're firing at me, in a stumble I tripped over a rock I fell over and injured my knee.

I looked left and right for some aid, while I looked I through a grenade. I lay there for ages throbbing through, thinking and hoping about the daughter I never knew.

I woke up by a man saying "get out you're dead", he threw me on the floor and kicked my head. He gave me a weapon and said good luck, he kicked me once more and watched me chuck.

He pulled me up on to my feet, kicked me then stabbed me and covered me with a sheet. I lay there waiting to die, thinking I shouldn't have joined it wasn't a lie.

I shivered and lay there in a useless heap, my body is cold slowly, slowly I fall to sleep.
