The best season for you to get married in will the your favorite season. It will be the one during which you tend to feel the happiest, and in which you can easily incorporate all of your wedding plans.
If, for example, you dream of your guests dining on fresh lobster at your reception then summer would be the best time for such seasonal fare. If you long for a wedding set in the countryside with wild flowers peeking out from hedgerows and fields then spring would be a great choice. If you love a mature sunset laced with a carpet of golden leaves then clearly Autumn is for you. There again, you may fantasize about dressing in white artificial fur and supping mulled cider, in which case winter is clearly called for.
Spring weddings are traditionally the most popular. The flowers are blooming and the land is green and fresh with the promise of new beginnings. The spring bride can wear the lovely seasonal flowers in her hair and have them fresh locally for her and her bridesmaids bouquets. The guests are happy because the weather is neither to hot nor too cold and they have made it through a long winter and are now enjoying the extra daylight.
Those who suffer from hay fever though, may be best to stick to a different season other than spring when pollen is everywhere.
Summer weddings speak of joy and fun. Sexy outfits can be worn as it's warm enough and everyone benefits from the glorious sunshine. Weddings in the summer season can take place, along with the celebrations afterward, out of doors in the fresh air, cutting down on costs considerably.
If you, however, don't like the heat then you may want to choose a cooler season for your wedding.
Autumn weddings can be full of gorgeous colors to match the changing of the leaves and decorations can be made using the foliage strung together and made into swags to drape along walls and across ceilings. Button holes can follow an autumnal theme with seasonal sprays and weddings can take place at sunset so everyone can be impressed by that lovely, low orange evening sun.
During Autumn though, the weather can be unpredictable. The heavens can suddenly open, obscuring your sunset and drenching you. If this worries you then you would be better to stick to a warmer time of year, or to supply your guests with colorful umbrellas and be done with it, remaining positive!
If you get married in the winter then your wedding may be truly white as gentle snow falls like confetti about you and makes wonderful wedding photographs. Holly and deep red berries and ivy can adorn the wedding cars and decorate the tables and bridesmaids can be dressed as snow fairies and delight the guests.
However, if you dislike the cold and prefer to be tucked up warm indoors then winter may not be the best choice as the season for your wedding.
Whichever season you choose to get married in you can make it magical with a little imagination and love.
