My direct answer to your question is, 'yes,' my vehicle does very well on the regular gasoline I offer it.

Now, that is a 'good thing,' well beyond the traditional measure of "Martha," or anyone else who is the least bit interested in saving a buck or two at the fuel pump.

In certain ways, it is a far better 'decider' than any of us, or even the President of our great nation may be. That is most certainly so, when it comes to the best choice of fuel to use. That choice is important in both an economic sense and in that of providing a fuel that the engine is willing and eager to use.

The engine of every car has always been willing to sing the perfect song to its owner when it is at its happiest. That song list has really not changed much through the years except for the fuel's additives and its ability to deliver the kinds of notes desired by its changing audience.

The final authority of whether or not your reasonably modern vehicle can successfully use a particular regular grade of gasoline too, will now be the computer used within it instead of those funny looking objects we call ears that live on opposite sides of our heads. That computer is the digital carburetor of today's internal combustion engine and is more than a few light-years ahead of those gas suckers of yesteryear. It is a far more discriminating evaluator of the kind of digital signals that only a computer can process quickly, even to balancing several inputs at the same time. It, along with the sensors used to craft those signals that feed it produce a new kind of tune that makes everything hum with pleasure.

That computer is programed by the manufacturer to deliver the optimum performance level of the engine installed in the vehicle, and being an exceptionally versatile judge and jury, will instantly test each offering of fuel you make available through your gasoline tank to make sure that whatever adjustments are necessary to properly fuel your engine at whichever speed you choose to drive will be promptly made. It will then constantly measure the engine's performance to learn if it should maintain its current setting or modify it for any improvements not obtained. And, it will do that for every different load of fuel you offer it.

It will then also lean the fuel mixture to the most efficient setting consistent with your wish for economy or even satisfy your demand for instant acceleration when needed to remove you from potential danger.

This continuous automatic process will therefor easily allow you to use any grade of gasoline you choose to buy; so from a practical consideration, let your computer do the job it was designed to handle and relax and enjoy the ride while this cyber-type master mechanic tends to the best interest of both your engine and your wallet.

That works for me and will for you too.
