your soft fingers curl tightly around my hand,
reminding me of years ago,
emotions running through me I cannot stand,
tears are welling up from deep below,
as you move so slowly towards me,
memories of you and me come back,
and now I realize it is really you I see,
as everything else fades to black,
our lips meet so softly,
the years fade away,
visions of you returning gently,
as if today were yesterday,
like no one else from then to now,
you brush my hair from in my eyes,
we speak without a noise some how,
and I understand all else is lies,
I remember you my man,
as if from before all time,
before the earth and stars began,
here reunited our life will be sublime.

There is a scent of you
