Picture your windowsills filled with overflowing containers of glorious flowers in a riot of blues, pinks and purples, or ornamental cabbages proudly displaying themselves from amongst bright colored pots along the sides of your front path.
Container gardening is so easy and a great way to add beauty and interest in a small space.
The containers can be anything from terracotta pots to the more adventurous containers that you can find in reclamation yards. I have seen many old chimneys and sinks put to use in this way. Go wild and use your imagination!
My favorite type of container gardening is to plant up lots and lots of herbs. Some will eventually have pretty flowers and all will be so useful for salads and cooking. Just the scent thats left on your fingers when you pick them is a delight.
Container gardening is a great way for a novice to gain gardening experience without taking on more than they can handle. It is also good for those of us who have no gardens or simply don't have much time. So put on those gardening gloves and brighten up your world!
